The BMF will welcome Milan Al-Ashhab, who in 2018 won the International Fritz Kreisler
Violin Competition in Vienna (the competition takes place every four years) and the
New York Concert Artists Competition. The violinist inherited his exotic surname from
his Palestinian father. He was born in Jerusalem, but has lived in Bohemia since he was
five. A similar perception of music as well as passion for the game of chess brought Milan
Al-Ashhab together with an experienced pianist Adam Skoumal, whose artistic profile is
supplemented with composing. After their performance at the Prague Spring Festival the
two ambitious artists will present themselves also at the BMF.
