The top Slovak Quasars Ensemble, specializing in the music of 20th and 21st centuries, will add another portion of the domestic chamber music to the Year of Slovak Music. Its focus on various demonstrations of Slovak music avantgarde and postmodernism will uncover the perpetual dialogue between two distant composing generations.
The commemoration of the 80th birthday of the master of poetic miniature Ivan Parík and of the charismatic dandy of piano sound Dušan Martinček is mingling with the jubilee of Martinček’s pupil, the first lady of “music still life”, Jana Kmiťová.
